I have had the pleasure of making a living as a photographer for most of my life. My camera has been my passport to the world and my excuse to experience life.

As a high school yearbook photographer, I was the awkward kid who finally found a way to fit in at football games. As a newspaper photographer, I had a front-row on life. Witnessing all the highs and lows we experience. Some of my assignments included climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, traveling to Cuba and crossing the Everglades on foot and in a canoe.

I spent ten years as a photojournalist at newspapers. The Naples (FL) Daily News and the Greeley (CO)  Tribune before I met my wife and decided to work for myself. I’ve done everything from weddings to working for the Ice Age Trail Alliance.

I’ve also expanded my horizons into fine art photography with my pinhole photography and working with crude vintage film cameras made out of plastic. I continue to participate in art fairs around the Midwest and as far away as Florida.

In June I finished the biggest project I’ve ever undertaken. Hiking the Ice Age Trail and documenting Wisconsin along the way. It was an adventure of a lifetime.

More about the hike.
